Model 11 with factory polychoke
How common or rare is a Remington model 11, 16 gauge with a factory installed polychoke. The barrel and gun have matching serial numbers and was made in 1947. I know it's factory installed because the barrel is machined at the end to accept the polychoke plus there's no choke engraving on the barrel. The barrel is normal diameter until it flairs out continuously to mate with the polychoke. Thanks

Rare may be an overstatement, but scarce for sure. The Model 11 and The Sportsman were introduced in 16-gauge in 1931. Factory integral Poly-Chokes were first offered by Remington Arms Co., Inc. in the January 19, 1940, catalog --

Thanks, I failed to mention it was a Sportsman's model so the vintage ad you posted makes sense.
