Thanks for the link Eddie. i had seen that Cuban contract carbine. It's about the best photo i've seen of a carbine. I don't know if the civilian carbines had the same stock as the military or not.

Thanks Eddie. I tend to agree with you about the stock not looking like others I've seen and is likely custom. That's part of the reason I'm hoping to find photos of others.

Does anyone have photos of an 1899 Carbine or information on them?
According to Gene's book there were less than 50 made. Here's some photos of mine. I think it is the highest known SN.
