Remington 592 5mm Magnum Outer Magazine Tube Removal Help
Trying to do a deep clean on a recently purchased used Remington 592 magazine fed 5mm Magnum. On my 591 5mm Magnum its just remove the bolt and take down screw and the barrel and stock separate but on my 592 bolt action tube fed rifle not so much. Would the membership mind walking me through the ...

Remington Model 514 Rear Sight Help
I would like to replace my rear factory notch sight with a peep sight. Most companies I've researched so far only have sights that go in a factory barrel dovetail. As most of you probably know the Model 514 rear sight is screwed into the barrel with 2 screws. Does anyone know of a peep sight that ...

Sling mounting problem Remington 870 Express Synthetic
I have a brand new Remington 870 Express Turkey Synthetic stock shotgun that came with the magazine cap ready to accept a sling swivel attachment. The buttstock has the factory attaching hole for a sling swivel molded into the bottom of the stock. My problem is my Uncle Mike's QD sling swivel stud ...

Re: Help Identifying a Remington 870 Compact in .410 bore
Thanks Virginian for your reply. All my chokes are marked Rem as they are all Remington chokes to my knowledge. All of my chokes are the stainless steel color extended screw in by hand types. Richard.

Help Identifying a Remington 870 Compact in .410 bore
I just picked up a very nice Remington 870 Compact in .410 bore and upon close inspection at home while cleaning same I noticed no barrel codes. The word, "FULL" though is marked on the left side of the barrel just forward the receiver but at the muzzle there is a RemChoke in "Mod." screwed in. How ...

Re: 870 Wingmaster magazine plug
To Virginian.....you listed a part number but no store name. Whose store does that part number come from? I need spare plugs because here in Virginia during dove season we can not have more than 3 shells in the gun at any one time and from time to time a plug gets lost, cracked or split so ...

870 Wingmaster magazine plug
Just picked up a real nice 870 Wingmaster in 28 gauge and would like to buy a couple of extra magazine plugs. The one in the gun now is a slender yellow one. Checking several of the better known gun parts sites a magazine plug for a 28 gauge Wingmaster is not listed but they do have them for the 870 ...

WTB Remington Managed Recoil .30-30 Ammo
Introducing my young daughter to hunting and the shooting sports and I could really use a box or two of the Remington Managed Recoil .30-30 ammo. Will pay top dollar for the ammo, its shipping costs and a small finders fee. Thanks to all for a reply. Thank you, Richard.

Model 1100 barrel/receiver mating question?
I was at a gunshow this morning and I saw a 1100 with a standard receiver mated to a 12 Gauge Magnum 3" shells marked barrel. Seller says he shoots 3" shells in this gun all the time without any trouble and the 3" shells will clear the ejection port with ease. Is this correct and is it safe? Any/all ...

Sir your "LV" barrel markings indicate February 1979 date of manufacture. Hope this helps. Richard.
