Re: Model 1100 starting serial number
Awesome thank you! That's a really good article. My Grandpa bought his 1100 new in February 1963, number 1557V. He passed it down to me, along with the original receipt!

Model 1100 starting serial number
Can anyone confirm what the Model 1100 starting serial number was? My recollection is that it started with 1001V. Is this correct?
Thank you!

Re: Model 1100 serial numbers
Well, I just found an article written by Jack Heath which states that "Model 1100 serial numbers started with the number 1001." This must have been what I read years ago. It was from one of the RSA journals.

Re: Model 1100 low serial number
Thanks, Jay. When my grandpa originally bought the gun, he bought an additional barrel with a polychoke on it. This barrel has been used almost exclusively, and the original barrel has been in a case since purchase. No modifications have ever been made, nothing to ever really fix. It's been a great ...

Hello,
I just recently found this board, and have enjoyed reading the posts. My question... I have a Model 1100 that has a serial number of 1557 V. It was given to me by my grandfather along with the original purchase invoice. I know that the serial numbers started at 1001, so does this add any ...
