My, how time goes by with increasing speed as one gets older. When I was younger my older friends complained how little time was available to accomplish what they wanted to do each day. Of course, being young I didn’t understand this. Now that I’m in my Golden Years I find that each day doesn’t have enough hours to accomplish all that I want to do. My dear friend Bill Hansen gave me a lecture today about being more organized. He is right, of course, but sometimes you can’t see the forest for the trees.
I am thankful for the wonderful guys who are the leaders of this organization, and those who work tirelessly on the Journal each quarter. But that being said, we need more to step forward to allow the Remington Society to expand beyond our current membership of 650 members. Last month, RSA member Andy Anderson wrote a letter that was published in the Journal about conducting a live shoot using Remington firearms. I am pleased to say that RSA Member Trader Jeff has heeded the call and is putting together a plan to conduct a live shoot in Southern California in the near future. More in future Journals on this endeavor as it unfolds. Over the past few months there have been three major gun shows in which the RSA has participated: RSA Director Dan Pozarek represented us at the NRA Annual Meeting In Indianapolis; RSA VP George McAllister represented us at the NRA Annual Gun Collector’s Meeting; and the Creamers (Bob, Sue, Corey and Brian) manned the RSA table at the Colorado Gun Show in Denver. Thank you, everyone. I hope to see you in Cody.. Well, That’s about all for now… |
