From the Editor, Roy Marcot
Dear RSA Members,
I am pleased to report that RSA Member Jeff Edman will soon be taking over my duties as Editor of the Remington Collector’s Journal. I am just completing 34 years as Editor of the RSA magazine and deemed it a good time for me “ride into the sunset.”
Finding someone who would be capable as an editor and as a magazine graphic artist was not an easy task. I can assure you that Jeff has all the qualities to do a fine job for our organization.
Jeff’s primary research interest is the inventions of James Paris Lee. He is a member of Oregon Arms Collectors and the California Side-by-Side Society. He has contributed to Arms Heritage, The Double Gun Journal, and The Journal of the Historical Breechloading Smallarms Associates.
The 4th Quarter 2024 issue reflects a joint effort of Jeff and myself, and he proved to me that he is the right man for the job. The 1st Quarter 2025 magazine will be 100% Jeff’s effort. In the meantime, his contact information is: Ed****@******ed.com
Please join me in welcoming him into the job. And don’t forget to acknowledge the other individuals who bring you this publication every quarter, including:
Mike Alsop – “RemShots”
Rich Shepler – “Remington Companies’ News”
Gordon Fosburg – “Remington Bookshelf”
Rich Rains – “Rich Rains .22 Rimfire World”
Tom Quigley – “Remington Reloading Tools”
“Adios,” my friends…
All my best,

In this Issue:

To all RSA Members,
Here we are, into the 4th Quarter of the year and survived another HOT summer (at least I thought it was hot)!
Your RSA is doing well, with membership improving thanks to the new web site and activities with other gun collector’s associations. The new web site is wonderful – it is great for the RSA to be represented on social media platforms.
By the time you read this, our 26th Annual Research Seminar at the Remington Ammunition Factory will be over and in the archives! I am ready to go, and enjoy it! Also in October is the Texas Gun Collectors Association (TGCA) winder show in Denton Texas, to which all RSA has been invited.
The TGCA shows are really fine events, similar to Las Vegas, only smaller. RSA members will have a group of tables at the show.
Coming up in January 2025 is of course the Las Vegas Antique Arms Show along with our Annual Members meeting at that show.
Last, but most important, we all need to VOTE for our God giving rights.
Ed Parker Taddeo – RSA President
