Remington UMC Best shot shells

I have some sealed boxes of 12Ga. Rem-UMC Best all brass shotgun shells they appear to be military. Can you tell me when they were made and what they may be worth?

I to would like to know about REM-UMC BEST No 12 brass shotgun shells. These shells do not use a shotgun primer, and are 2.5 inches long. What where they used for? When where they made? How much are they worth? I have a bunch of these empty brass cases....
