:?:I have a remington Model 33 22 rifle. It has Pat. Pending on the barrel.I have found info on the rifle that has US pat on it. but nothing about one that has pat.pending.
Can you help me?

    I examined some of my 33s. They all have Patent Pending on the barrel. The latest one I looked at was made in June, 1935. Production started in July, 1931 and ended in November, 1935, so the June rifle was quite late in production.

    If your rifle has grasping grooves in the fore-end, it is a type 2 Model 33. If there are not any grooves, it is a Type 1. If it has a Lyman 55R peep sight it is a 33-P or 33-NRA. If it has a serial number, it was probably made in mid-1934 or later.

    263,552 Model 33s were made. There were four different bolts used during the short production run of less than 5 years. It was Remington's first bolt action 22 rifle, so several minor changes were made for production efficiency.
