Remington Model 81

Howdy,

Has anyone out there ever seen a Remington Model 81 from the year 1943? I would really like to know if any exist and talk with anyone who could tell me about this year of low productivity for these rifles. I know it was the war years and production was supposedly stopped. I am trying to get some history about the Model 81 and would appreciate hearing from anyone about this particular year. Thank you for your assistance,
