Hey Yall,
I purchased an 11-48 about two weeks ago that has dogs, quail, duck and pheasant on either side of the receiver. I cant find any info on this particular model so thought i'd turn to the experts. Any info would be much appreciated guys.
Thanks,
Timber

Sorry...
The serial number dates it back to 1950-1951.

We are going to need to see pictures to tell if you have a "factory" F "Premier" grade or an after-market engraved gun. A lot of U.S. troops got guns of this vintage engraved in occupied Germany or Japan in the decade after WW-II.

Does not look factory to me. That looks like the European engraving version to me, but I am not the world's greatest expert by any means. The Oriental engraving tended to be more angular and deeply cut in my opinion.
What could have happened... did.
