I have an heirloom set consisting of a Letter Opener & Scissor in a Leather Case.
The Scissor is clearly marked in the stylized Remington script and says Made In USA.
Both pieces have a relief style engraving that is blackened.
The case holds both pieces, with the scissor in the front slot and the letter opener in the back.
The case has gold lettering on it that says, 'Rememberance Advertising' TRADE MARK REG. NO. 9447
I'll try to get pix of this in the next couple of days, if that might help.
I have no idea how to find out more information on this stuff, but I knew if I came to the Forum, I'd have a better chance.
I'd appreciate any help you may have.
