m 700 BDL question

I recently aquired a 700bdl, chambered for 300 win mag.
the date codes provided here indicate either 75 or 2005. my question is what do look at to know which it is?

What type of stock is on it?
If it's the original stock, the BDLs of that year had wood stocks, black fore-end tips and grip caps. They had straight-line, cut checkering. In the very late '70s they switched to skip-line checkering.

ok it has the straight line checkering. so this would make make it the 1975?
