Hi,
New to the board but I have a Rem 870 F grade Magnum and would like to find out
who at remington engraved it.
it is a 1955 bbl code BB....
3 setting ducks on one side
2 pointers flushing grouse on other.
30 inch full
Duck images painted in Monte Carlo stock.
Awesome checkering.
I would also like to find someone who can give me a ball park of what this would sell for.
Any and all help appreciated.

You will need to post pictures of several views of the gun in order to get an appraisal here. If you don't know how to post pictures, maybe a member here will offer to post pictures that you email to him.

I'm certainly not the expert on Remington engraving, but that gun isn't. Smacks of engraving many GIs got done on plain American guns in the decade after WW-II in both occupied Germany and Japan. Factory F-Grade Remingtons would have started with a clean receiver with no stamped lettering. The "Magnum", "Wingmaster" and "870" would have been incorporated in the engraving. Also, the F-Grades were catalogued as blued or with gold inlays. Those silver inlays really smack of Japenese engraving.
According to the table on page 34 in the Fall 2008 issue of The Remington Society of America Journal, there were only 24 870 F-Grades and four 870 F-Grades with gold shipped from 1955 to 1973.
