It is essentially the same as a Ithaca Model 37 much like a modern model Mossburg 500 and honestly the first time I took one of those apart I had to look for some instructions, not sweet and as simple like the 870 :D
If you call Remington I think they will send you a old xerox but I've attached a Ithaca assembly manual. If someone does have a good scan I would put it on the site and make it available.

It's 1921-33 if you post a serial it can be dated or you can check the more accurate (w/ month) date code here:

Well that would be 1924 based on the serial no. I don't understand BO I would expect something R, (R being 1924)
