I recently bought a used 572BDL (1969) and have shot it at the range a few times now while trying to figure out which ammunition it likes best. I have had a few instances where after firing a shot, I cycle the slide and it ejects the spent cartridge, but jams and fails to feed the next round. It seems as though one round pushes against another, nose-to-tail, and neither will then feed or eject. The only way to remedy this is to empty the magazine, tap out the pins, remove the trigger assembly and then clear the action (from the bottom) of the jammed rounds. This does not happen frequently, but often enough (3 or 4 times out of 100 rounds or so) that I thought I'd come on and see if this was a 'typical' problem. I have carefully and completely disassembled, cleaned, and oiled the gun, but this didn't seem to make a difference. Other factors to consider: it did this with different brands of ammo; it doesn't seem to matter how many rounds are still left in the magazine, i.e. 2, 5, 12 etc. while jamming. Any information or suggestions would be much appreciated!
