I have a near mint 1947 Woodmaster Model 81 in .300 Savage. Also have original manual. Perhaps not that unusual,
however this one has a fitted case. Case is excellent quality, appears handmade, leather covering with copper corner covers. Does anyone have knowledge of Remington selling these with presentation cases, or perhaps a specialty case maker of high end cases during that era. Case is made to carry rifle broken down. Wood separting the interior covered with velvet. Serial # 28xx...Would appreciate any knowledge or feedback.

I cannot find any markings on the case. It appears to be craftsman grade handmade. One thing I forgot to mention is that there are no latches on the case. You simply close the case and then carry by the handles. I'll try to post some pics soon...I'm a little technically challenged so it may take a day or two. Thanks for the input
