REM 511-P

Has anyone ever seen a Rem 511-P with US stamped on the front reciever ring? The US Goverment purchase about 10,000 as youth guns in the early 1950's. Where are they?

I thought I answered this.... Maybe that was the evening I had some problems with everything slowing down....

Anyway, I had one a few years back with the US on the receiver. I don't remember if it was a "P" or not. It also had some gov't stamps on the bottom of the barrel. It had some letters that appeared to refer to a military base in California.
