Rust Blue Finish

When did Remington discontinue rust bluing it's firearms? I'm told they were using this process up into the 1960's. TIA

Rust bluing is a long process with lots of controls. They switched to Hot Blue sins it's cheaper than and faster. I don't know when they switched bot I think before the 60"s. Jay Huber RSA
