Model 12C
Model 12C
I recently inherited a Remington Model 12C. I would estimate that it was manufactured between 1910 and 1922. It appears to be in excellent condition. It was last used approximately 2 years ago, but prior to that, probably was not used for a number of years. I do not have the manual on how to take it down to clean it. Ahy advice? This is my first gun so I do not have any experience cleaning firearms. I picked up a basic cleaning kit from my local gun dealer and had him look it over to confirm that it is in good shape. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Re: Model 12C
I would just run some cotton swabs threw the barrel with a light bore cleaner or solvent till swab come clean. Wipe the metal down with REM OIL or a similar type. I am sure your kit will provide what you need. Great gun. There seem to be a lot of lucky people out there that inherit 12s. Take care of it!
