A question on behalf of a friend doing a ballistics segement in her Forensic science uni course
She has purportedly a remington express 20gauge shotgun shell, on these shell are some little stars, kinda like http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... nshell.jpg an unrelated shell perhaps
But again, similar stars, what do they represent, do they mean anything? or are mearly a product 'thing'

The shell in the picture is a 12 gauge, and I believe the stars are just decorative.
