Rolling Block .22

Post by john72 »

I have a hex barrell .22 that I would like info on. It has a serial # of j228360. It's a rolling block gun very similar to a Stephens Crack Shot. Please help.

You have a Model 4 (or No. 4) rifle made in approximately 1913. Remington records for the M/4 give the approx date of manufacture. Your rifle should have a lever take down system.

It has a lever on the side that allows the gun to seperate. Does this gun have much value?

We normally do not attempt to give values on this forum. There are too many variables like condition, original parts, etc. The No. 4 is not a rare Remington. I suggest you take it into a local gun shop and ask for value, or buy a BLUE BOOK OF GUN VALUES.
