Garage fire......Remington Clay thrower

Post by heckinohio »

Gents, my first post....unfortuantely it is about a fire where I had a vintage Remington Clay target thrower. It was upstairs just over where the fire started so it got the full brunt.

Anyone here know where I can get it restored or is it worth the effort? Is anyone interested in these?

Pre-fire pictures  ..... I have guy coming to load other burned junk today......I moved the thrower out of that area, will post a 'after' pict asap.

If the spring still has strength then the damage may be cosmetic. If the spring is dead then any heat treat is probably lost, this could make it unsafe.
