Model 6

I have a "22 short, long, or long rifle" it is a model 6. 396276 is on the side infront if the stock, it is also on the under side of the barrel, there also is a "xr" and two other symbols under there too. I wanted to know is when it was made, and if it can still be used and anything else, any infromation would be appriciated. thanks

Please use standard velocity ammo. The M/6 was made before the hi-velocity ammo was introduced.
