Model 11 Built in 1949?

I have a Model 11 12 gauge with serial 811887. The barrel is stamped LUU.
If I deciphered this correctly that means is was built in Feb, 1949?

That is a new highest 12-gauge serial number for me. LUU is February 1949.

The new guns the Model 11-48 and Sportsman-48 didn't actually appear until the 1949 Remington Arms Co., Inc. catalog.

Scanning Guns International today I spotted a vent rib The Sportsman Skeet Gun, serial number 784888, with an LUU barrel date stamp.

That's the highest I've seen, too.
Would love some pics. I've got a post on my Remington Model 11 facebook page for high numbers. The highest I had there was 810,892
