Hello,
I recently purchased a Remington 11D and I am trying to determine year of manufacture. The serial number is 809**. I do not know much about them other than they were produced by Remington under the Browning Patent. The engraving is awesome. This engraving is almost comparable to a Grade III Browning Auto 5. I am attaching a couple of photos. Any help with the year or details would be much appreciated. Looking through the rest of the forum now for info.

Re: Remington 11D Year of Production
This is the left side. The serial number on this gun is definitely engraved. When you look at it under magnification you can clearly see the tool marks. Also, should the forearm be serial numbered to the gun like on the early Browning Auto 5's?

Re: Remington 11D Year of Production
Jim Tipton's chronology would place the production of this gun in mid-1909.
Good luck and enjoy!
