Missing Scope Dovetail Mounting Clamp Ear

I bought for $10 today an old JC Higgins 4x rimfire scope that is missing one of the clamp ears that holds the scope ring to the rifle dovetail of my Remington Speedmaster. What is a good way to mount this scope?
