Need help identifying this Remington stock

I received this stock and forend as part of a trade awhile back. It doesn't fit my 742 woodsmaster so I'd like to sell it, however I can't figure out what it would fit. The front of the stock that attaches to the rifle was to large to fit into the receiver of the 742. I didn't attempt to use the forend since it is cracked and my current one is in better condition. Any information would be helpful, thanks.

Maybe a Remington Model 1100 shotgun. If the buttstock is too big for your M742 then I would lean towards 12ga.
