Remington Keene Navy Rifle

I recently purchased a Keene Navy rifle and I need some help regarding the actions functioning and locating parts. When retracting the bolt the cartridge lifter raises but does not stay in the raised position when the bolt is pushed forward. I believe a part is missing but I have not been able to find a schematic showing the action parts or how the parts interact with each other. Where may I go or who may have this information? Also, where may I find an upper band and cleaning rod or suitable replacements?
