I recently inherited a nice Remington 700 that is chambered in 25-06. I've been trying to find out any information about this rifle and haven't had any luck. The serial number is A6674225. Can anyone tell me where to find date of manufacture and other specifics concern the rifle. Now I have to purchase some 25-06 ammo!

The serial number puts it late 1978. Should have a barrel code of D or E Q.
