Model ID

Post by delkancott »

Hello,

A friend has an older Remington pump shotgun I'm trying to help ID. The serial is U34652 and it's under the receiver where you'd load the shells. I'll attach a picture. Warning, it wasn't well cared for.

Thank you in advance.

Edit to add: I can’t seem to upload photos. I’m getting HTTP errors.

It is the John D. Pedersen designed Remington Repeating Shotgun (aka Model 1908) introduced on the back page of the 1908 Remington Arms Co. catalog --

In 1911, Marcellus Hartley Dodge combined his arms and ammunition companies as Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge Co. and in their 1911-12 catalog they began calling the gun the Model No. 10 --
