Rem Arms 870 Fieldmaster stock contour

I've been asked a few dozen times about the 870 Fieldmaster stock & whether the standard Remington Supercell pad will fit correctly. I recall seeing photos of one that was tried, and seem to recall the stock was fatter and it did not fit correctly.

Can anyone add to or elucidate as to this question...

I have never seen a pre-shaped pad perfectly fit a Remington wood stock, on any model.

I have a few late model 1100's that now have Remington Supercell pads and they fit very nicely.
