New guy from the Florida panhandle

Just wanted to drop in and say hello. I just bought a Remington 760 Gamemaster Carbine in 308. It was made in October of either 77 or 78. The second letter was not fully stamped an I'm not sure if it is an "O" or "Q". Either way, it's in 95% condition and I bought it from the original owner for $350. Researching the date code is what led me to this forum and I thought I would join to see what else I could learn about my newest addition! Thanks for having me and I look forward to exploring the forum.
