The locking screws are the same as on the model 12. Last I knew, Numrich had them.
Hello Remington friends!! I bought a remington model 25 today in the more common 25-20 Cal. Its serial number is AA 2304. I have a few questions. Its date of manufacture? I was told it was morphed from a model 12. The locking screws on the forearm are missing: Are the screws, scalloped locks and locking screws the same as the 12? Do I get the forearm off by unscrewing the magazine tube? Are there any ''big surprises'' if I unscrew the tube? The butt plate looks like a model 12's also. I have noticed that crescent plated 12's have a number stamped on the rear side (as does the one on this 25): is that suppose to be serial numbered to the gun? Thank you for all the help and answers....
The buttplates on the M/12 are numbered but usually do not match the serial # of the rifle. They are often close, but not exactly the same. The M/25 is probably the same.
