I think the navy is probably an old replica, but the army seems to be an original (I hope so). I'll send pictures of it if anyone can help me to know more about it:
the serial number is 0743XX; on the barrel is written:
PATENTED SEPT.14,1858.E.REMINGTON & SONS,ILION,N.Y.NEW MODEL in one line...
