Rem mode 700 ADL carbine

Post by DJ2065 »

I recently found a 700 ADL synthetic in 7mm-08 at a local gun shop. I know it is several years old and has never been fired. Does anyone have any info or specs for this gun? It appears to have a barrel that's under 20". I didn't actually measure it. It's not a youth model. I shouldered the gun and it feels good. I'm just a little worried about the weight and the short barrel. I'm thinking about purchasing it for my son, who is 14 and I am concerned about the recoil.

The gun you described sounds like a youth model, I don't follow the new guns much though. It sounds like it would be a fine choice, but before I bought I would definately check out a model 7 in the 260 Rem. My OPINION, but I think it would be a better choice. I am sure your son would be excited to get either one.

I recently purchased a 19" barrel Rem 700 in .243. All I can say is that it is sweet and very light recoil, but it is a .243. I can't find any info on a 700 model in a 19" thick barrel. If you hear any info I would appreciate you passing the word. My post asking for info is dated 11/30 and titled Remington 700, 19" barrel. Enjoy it!
