I was recently examining my CEO-Grade 135944 and comparing it to some pictures I have of 135970. On my gun the C on the barrels is stamped on the bottom of the web of the barrel lug and on 135970 it is on the barrel flat near the serial number. Also there is an R under the serial number on the barrel flat of my gun. My barrels are engraved on top just like other higher grades of that era.

Does any of this mean anything or am I making "much ado about nothing!"

My thought is that we'll never know if there is any significance.
