My dad says he has a 870 Wingmaster 20 gauge 2 3/4" no vent rib. looks like a 28 or 30" barrel,
it looks clean. He never used it much a few times a year, I am trying to find the year of the gun, I have the number off the receiver below the Remington @ Wingmaster inscribed on the receiver, 854016X, trying to find an approx worth of the gun in decent shape and maybe the year?
870 Wingmaster 20 Gauge serial#
Re: 870 Wingmaster 20 Gauge serial#
Definitely one built on the 12 gauge sized receiver (X suffix) before 1968. I would guess late 1966 or 1967.
Value would depend heavily on condition. Barrel is likely 28". $150 to $250 would be ball park.

What could have happened... did.
