Model 12-C (1924) chromium finish

Please help!! This I my last hope.
I just recently acquired a Remington 12C, I believe its finished in "chromium" (from what I'm told).
Has a Lyman tang 'globe' flip up, rear site. The stock is very dark. I would describe as a dark cherry. It's missing the front wood forend, but the rifle appears to function correctly otherwise. It is also missing the 'peep' aperture from the Lyman tang site.
The entire rifle is finished, in this chromium, and there is no markings on the side of the outer receiver.
Trigger group serial number matches rifle.

Remington responded to my email and stated that the rifle was made in 1924.

I'm looking for value and if Remington finished the rifle, or if it was done afterwards.

1924 would have date code on the barrel, serial?

The serial number: RW 623933. When I originally looked it up, I thought it was November 1928.

It is 1924 and it should have writing.
