I talk to other friends with what I've learned about it.
My buddy has 11, 657 has a cartouched hand grip.
Can you give me a date on it PLEASE?
That is an early serial number, isn't it!

This is a low serial for a true New Model (might be an Elliot frame?).

Your revolver left the factory in Jan 1863.
