760 carbine in .243
Did Remington ever make the 760 Carbine in .243? Were all 760 Carbines marked as such on the barrel? Thanks.
Re: 760 carbine in .243
Carbines should be marked as such on the barrel. 243 wasn't offered. 280, 270 I believe, 308 and 30-06 were factory offerings.
Edit. I can't believe I forgot to mention 35 Rem was also chambered in the carbine. Long day a work.

Thanks for the reply. Then what I have is a cut-down rifle. Not unhappy as what I wanted was a .243 760 carbine as a handy coyote gun and since the factory didn't make one a modified rifle would have been the only alternative. Just have to see how she shoots. Thanks again.

What length is the barrel now, just out of curiosity? 18.5 inch 6mms usually shoot pretty good. I have a 600 in 6mm that surprised me
with factory ammo although kinda loud

It measures 18.5" from the front edge of the reciever to the muzzle.
