I think that is a pretty safe assumption!! We'd love to see some pictures of it.

Thanks FredRay, I have only seen one 31F in Photos on Gunbroker in 2001. I did not win the bid, it was a 16 gage with non ribbed barrel. As I recall it went for $1300, I still kick myself for not going higher. Anxious to see your photos. Are both barrels engraved and serial numbered to the gun?

Pictures are a must. There were a lot of guns engraved outside of Remington post-war. Some is better than others, but it's still not factory. Also, there were different levels of engraving. You would need a positive ID to set any kind of value.

We anxiously await pics! :D

I guess we won't hear from this fellow again. Too bad. Even a non original gun would be fun to look at.

Yes, FredRay needs to post some photos. He got us all hot and bother with at Modle 31 F grade.
