Hey!
I am hardly qualify as an authority on the 513-T but it was a great middle range target rifle made basically to compete with the Model 75 Winchester. I believe your rifle came with scope blocks mounted on the barrel as did the M75 which would accept a Lyman Super Target Spot, Unertl 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" Target Scope, Litschert Target Scope, and some others (which now will cost you about twice what you paid for the rifle).
The rifle did not come with the scope and "usually" didn't come with iron sights unless you ordered them with it. I shot in small bore competition form 1952 until about 1993, you didn't see many 513-T's for position shooting but you would see them on occasion at outdoor prone matches. Most were used by Junior Rifle Clubs and many were used by "many" military reserve units for training.......it cost a lot less to shoot smallbore.
The DCM issued countless 513-T's to NRA affiliated clubs for use in both junior and senior gallery shooting.
Best regards!
