Depending on when it was made (assuming it hasn't been modified), will determine which stock style, features and other appearance options it has.
If it has a hinged floor plate and black fore end tip and grip cap, it's a BDL. If it doesn't have a hinged floor plate and plain wood fore end, it's an ADL. Plain wood with a hinged floor plate may indicate it's a "Classic".
Over the 50+ years that Remington has made the Model 700, there have been a multitude of varieties of styles and features.
