I've aquired the below Rem. I believe 1889? Okay shape, looks like the stock has been swapped as well as the forwood. Few steps from a parts gun really. Also have a bag of parts for I think a 1882-1885, set of barrels, and a cracked stock with a good butt plate.
Looking to move this along to someone who has a real interest in these old workhorses. Can anyone suggest apropriate price points? I assume FFL's are not required on these guys?
Thanks

Re: 1882 SXS? + Parts for another 1882-1885?
Although I'm not an expert, it appears that your SxS is a model 1889 based on the hammer shape. I might be interested - shoot a price to jmeier356@gmail.com As far as an FFL - these were made from 1889 to 1910 so I don't know what the law requires. Maybe it is based on S/N. The magic S/N is 89123 as this is the last one built in 1898.

I guess we want the pre '98 S/N which would be 80389 for the last one produced in 1897.
