The pre-WW-II Remington Arms Co., Inc. catalogues in my collection don't mention Aeromet receiver Model 31 Skeet Guns. The 1947 and 1948 catalogues state under the Model 31 Skeet Gun listing "Also furnished in "Light Weight" at same price. About 1 pound lighter than weights shown above." The 1949 catalogue makes no mention of "Light Weight" Model 31 Skeet Guns. All Model 31 Skeet Guns seem to be very scarce, and the handful I've seen have all been steel receiver guns.

The Remington Model 31 16- and 20-gauge guns are built on the same frame.
