I have a 20ga Sportsman 48F that I believe belonged to my grandfather. It is serial number 3800002 which, according to the remington website, seems to make it possibly the 2nd 48 20ga ever produced. As it is F grade, it has great wood and the receiver is "engraved". I believe my grandfather was somehow associated with Remington and wonder how I can find out more about this gun (and maybe my grandfather's involvment with Remington (board member?).
