WTB: Remington 725 deer calibers only

Post by medbill »

Hi Guys,

My first post here and glad I found you all! The first rifle I ever worked up and saved money for was a Rem 700 BDL date code comes back 1981.

I would like to get one of these 725's, especially in .308 if they made it in that caliber or .270, 30-06 etc. I'm looking for a shooter. After hunting with my Tikka this year I'm gonna sell it, just too many plastic parts on it for me. Gun shoots sub MOA but I like the old stuff better.

Will post some info about my NYS Militia Rolling Block when I have some time. Have the bayonet and scabbard too and the bore is a mirror.

Thanks for your time,

Billy

Some time ago I had that collection. I got out of collecting for several reasons, but did keep a couple favorite 721, 722, and 725s.

725s were made in calibres 222, 243, 244, 270, 280, and 30-06. Plus a very few in 375 and 458. I had all the non-magnum calibres.

I wish they would have offered a 308 725. That probably would be my favorite. Instead, 280 holds that spot.
