restore or not restore?
I have a couple of old Remington shotguns (10 and 29). The 29 is all original and in very good condition. The 10 is however not that way. The stock looks like it has been coated with epoxy resin probably as part of a repair. ( I can see what looks like fiberglass under the top coat ) Bore is clean and action works fine but it looks like someone spread a bottle of bluing over the barrel and magazine....metal finish is rough at best. I know the gun's value is not high but I'd like to have it restored to factory specs which will require at least a new stock and a reblue of the metal parts. Any idea of the cost of doing a restore and who would you send it to for a good job? Thanks.....john
