I know you are going to think I am nuts on how to fix this simple problem, but it really works on your problem as well as sight dovetails. You can take a brass hammer and lightly tap the lips on each side of the dovetail after you have the mag tube out of course. Also you can take a sharp center punch and dimple the female part of the slot with a sharp center punch. I have had the best luck with a couple of taps to the lips of the dovetail with the brass punch. A little bit to the lips does quite a bit,so tap and go slow. Very simple fix. Hope this helps.
