Remington Single shot 22 rimfire

In 1944 I got my first rifle, a Remington 22 single shot. It was bolt action hand cocked. There was no tray so the round had to be inserted directly into the chamber. The gun was not new and I have no idea just how old it was. Can anyone geive me an idea of what model numbers I might start trying to look up.

It sounds like it is probably a Model 33. If not, others to try would be the M/41 & 514.
